LORE && STORYLINE

Tezcatlipoca was a central deity in Aztec religion. As one of the four sons of Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl, he is associated with a wide range of concepts, including the night sky, the night winds, hurricanes, the north, the earth, obsidian, enmity, discord, rulership, divination, temptation, jaguars, sorcery, beauty, war and strife. His many other names include: Smoking Mirror, The Mocker, Enemy of Both Sides, He Whose Slaves We Are, The Young Man, He by whom We Live, Enemy of Both Sides, Possessor of the Sky and Earth, and Lord of the Near and the Nigh. For kings, lords, priests, and citizens alike, the cyclical nature they observed every day and every year was portrayed not through science or philosophical debate, but utter reverence and respect for the spiritual beings they believed were the cause of these events. It was gods like Tezcatlipoca that solidified this notion, representing both the silent wind, and thunderous war.

In one of the Aztec accounts of creation, Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca joined forces to create the world from the body of the monster Cipactli, losing his foot in the process. He is said to have acted as the First Sun but was knocked from the sky by Quetzalcoatl and destroyed the world in anger. He also caused the ends of the three following worlds before the current world and the Fifth Sun.

INCARNATED : LLoyd, despite being the incarnation of Tezcatlipoca, doesn't remember his rivalry with Quetzalcoatl and the wold-wrecking wrath he possessed for his awakening is a failed one. The day he regains his memories might be the day of the current sun's overthrowal. [Details to be added.]

APPEARANCE && PERSONALITY

Lloyd possesses an athletic and sturdy body which measures 186 cm tall and weighs 77 kg. He has jet-black hair and deep-set crimson eyes, somewhat complementing the black-purple wardrobe he has. As he is always clad in black and shady-looking clothes, others generally liken his appearance to a shadow or view him as someone suspicious.

As an incarnation of Tezcatlipoca, not only his power is strengthened when night comes, but his personality also gets a change. There are differences of how he acts during the day and during the night that makes the night's effect distinguishable, but those differences aren't so drastic or strays too far from his original character to the point of saying that he has multiple personality disorder. It's more like a 'hidden side' that occurs when the sun goes down.

A my-pace kind of guy, coming across as being a careless and lazy sort who only becomes serious just when it's really necessary to act so. He hates to be involved in troublesome things unrelated to his interest or be relied on, but despite showing indifference towards his surrounding and most people's well-being, he will occasionally offer his hand to others then somewhat 'save' them in a not-so-heroic way since he refuses to be deemed as a 'hero of justice'; for simpler examples, he will ask for something in return of helping someone, or when questioned why he saves people, he will give reasons such as, "they will be useful if I let them live," or "it's a life I happen to pick up, just for killing some time," and that he can simply discard them if he grows bored. He looks quiet and disinterested for most part, but whenever he puts some effort in a conversation, his words will be either foul, provoking or mocking, casually throwing insults that makes him appear to be arrogant.

While he usually looks relaxed, he is very intelligent and analytical; willing to use just anything to complete his objective and doesn't mind to be labelled as cunning as the result. That being said, he is also capable of showing himself to be moderate and rational if the circumstances are serious. His violent and questionable way in doing something (even if it's the right thing) somehow fits Tezcatlipoca's nature, which is said to be the embodiment of change through conflict. Upon learning that he is Tezcatlipoca's incarnation, he viewed it as unacceptable and had a hard time dealing with the fact, preserving his human identity. This shows proves his rebellious spirit, which ironically, makes him resemble Tezcatlipoca even more. This aspect of his is described as "he who is willing to rebel, even against himself" by his partner incarnator.

Compared to how he behaves during the day, how he acts when night arrives is more 'inhumane' or even 'immoral' despite still sharing the same mindset. While his day self is more composed and quieter, his night self grows bolder, behaves aggressively and more chaotic. He even describes himself as a savage, selfish, and helpless hedonist; a rather good definition of himself, shown by his personality that tends to get hooked on something that seems interesting. He will stop at nothing to pursue his own excitement like an instinct, because that is how he has lived since times. It is to be noted that it's quite hard to please him or create a thing that he will deem as interesting, there is no category or whatsoever to make him recognize the fun, yet if he sees the potential to have fun, he will go for it until it bores him out. It's safe to say that he thinks less irrationally and puts fulfilling his desires as the utmost priority, reaching mutual understanding is almost impossible for him in this state, as his mind strays off from what most people comprehend to be 'normal'.

He becomes more expressive; brazen about his desires, laughs louder at times, and wrecks things far mercilessly than anyone else. More than willing to toy with other's emotions, he will occasionally make insensitive and inconsiderate comment just to fish out some reactions that he hopes will amuse him. It's also shown that he has a knack for making people feel miserable to an extent, another aspect that fits Tezcatlipoca's myth (the part where he crushed Chalchihuitlicue with mere words and made her cry), making him to look sadistic and torturous to be with. Despite all those villainous tendencies of his, he still has a shred of humanity he gets from the current life's experience and doesn't lose sight of what's important to him, while still handling the lives of others he doesn't acknowledge very poorly. Unlike his day self who will give a swift, painless death to his enemies, his night self prefers giving agonizing death. When he /does/ grant mercy kill, it simply means he is bored of playing torture already, is in a good mood, or he finds something else that catches his interest more.
